History

The Thakeham Community Hub Committee members came together with the idea of starting the Hub after the former Thakeham Preschool closed. The Committee wanted to see the space remain as a community asset and be used by the members of the community that the building was originally built for.

We submitted our ideas to Thakeham Parish Council and received unanimous support from the councillors for the project to go ahead.

Our Mission and Values

Thakeham Community Hub works for the community benefit having as its objectives the development, education and accessibility for parents, children and young people in particular by: 

⦁    providing a safe, secure environment for activities and education. 
⦁    promoting health and wellbeing. 
⦁    providing services to support them and their families and carers. 
⦁    providing accessibility to services most needed within the community. 
⦁    providing a social space for local groups to come together.
